Marge’s “Ultimate” Luv Chili
3 lbs hamburger
1 medium onion, diced
4 stalk celery, sliced thin
Chili powder to preference (I used 4 T minimum)
Cumin to preference (I used 2 T minimum)
Garlic powder to preference (I used 2-3 T minimum)
Salt and pepper to preference
Red pepper flakes (I used 1 T minimum)
1 bottle beer of choice (I used Miller MGD)
1 can red kidney beans, undrained
1 can chili beans, undrained
1 can black beans, undrained
2 cans diced tomatoes w/chili’s
1-1/2 quart Jimmy Luv’s Original Mix (for more spice, add the Sneaky Hot Mix)
½ box noodles
In large skillet, brown hamburger, spices, onions. Add celery and beer, simmer until celery is soft. In a large pot (you can’t make a small batch of this, for sure!) add browned hamburger mixture and remainder of the ingredients. Taste to see if you need to adjust flavors. If you like thinner chili, add another beer or water or tomato juice.
Let simmer to blend flavors for about 1 hour.
If you like noodles in your chili, cook following directions, drain, and you can serve them beside the chili or put them in the chili. Enjoy with a topping of shredded cheese and sour cream, topped with chopped green onion.
